A new era of lake fun is here. The latest spin on wave-related fun, wakefoiling pushes the limits of riding behind a boat…or jet ski…or just about any vessel for that matter. This new board uses a foil that planes underwater and attaches to a traditional wakesurf board with a mast for a wave riding experience unlike anything you’ve tried before.
Where does wakefoiling come from? It’s actually been around for a while, with products like the “Air Chair” using a foil derived from boating to float up above the water. Ever since, foils have made their way into the world of surfing and kiteboarding, and now, wake. This technology has been adapted into wakesurf boards for a riding experience like no other, so get on one and try wakefoiling for yourself!
A wakefoil board opens up your freedom to ride just about anywhere a wave or lift occurs in the water, whether that’s directly behind the boat or three waves back. This also means that you don’t need a super fast boat to get going – literally any watercraft can be enough to get you wakefoiling. There is a bit of a learning curve, but wakefoiling does not require much speed once mastered. Once you get going, wakefoilers can even keep riding well after they have left the wake.
These brand new and super fun boards have another advantage – they are relatively unaffected by rough conditions. From glass to the roughest, most packed lake day, foiling pulls you out of the chop and rides smooth as butter. And with their rising popularity comes a greater selection of masts and foils that are all backwards compatible, allowing riders from all disciplines to completely customize their boards.

We were fortunate to have Luc looking after our 2014 Mastercraft X55 for 4 years. His service was exceptional in keeping our boat looking good at all times.
