The Storage Facilities

We’re setting a new standard in storage for the industry. We have pride in the work that we complete for our members. Keeping their boats in the “WOW, nice boat” condition, is one of the most important tasks we complete for our members. The first step in keeping boats in immaculate condition is the storage process.

Cleanliness above all will also help to keep pests out of members boats, insure that mold and mildew don’t infest the boats while in storage, and over the course of the first few seasons in our storage facility members boats will become easier to maintain. The old saying goes something like, “It is easier to keep your house immaculate by cleaning a little each day, as opposed to letting it get filthy and have to clean for hours.”

Shrink Wrapping Services

Dry Dock Marine offers an extensive variety of solutions for shrink wrapping all types of boat. Custom tailored, reusable shrink covers with materials up to 10 mil thick product for extended life. Covers are made to fit each boat with a drawstring at base of cover for ease of removal. Optional door available for re-entry while vessel is covered.

Keeping your investment protected from the elements is our main objective here. A well-kept boat will keep its value and help to insure the internal structure of your boat is dry and mold free. Further ensuring that your boat is safe for use every time. On most occasions, a fitted cover on an average size boat with tower equates to around $20 per/ft. Every boat is different some small, some tall. For this reason, Dry Dock Marine will not quote pricing without seeing the boat which is to be covered. Onsite cover building is available for additional fuel surcharge. We also recommend and install Trans shield covers. Please visit their website www.transhield-usa.com.

Outdoor storage starts at $7 per/ft LOA makes all the extras that DDM offers available to them as members. Discounts on winter labor rates and shrink-wrapping services are the two main benefits $7 members will receive.

Trailering and Logistics

Dry Dock Marine is a full service dry storage marina. Members can rest assured that their boat is not hanging from its mooring lines submersed in its slip. The market cornering factor of this concept is, members will enjoy the benefits of being launched from a different location anywhere on Vancouver Island every time they “walk down to their slip”. Of course, this also allows DDM members to load their boats at a completely different location, anywhere on Vancouver Island.

Almost all DDM storage tiers come with free logistics for your boat. This is perfect for those who park their boats at their summer home, but need winter storage, maintenance, and logistics taken care of. If you have storage for your boat on location at your summer or year-round home, we also have an option for non-storage members as well.

Dry Dock Marine will utilize hot shot formulas and flat rate towing to ensure that our members are getting the most competitive rates on our cost per kilometer services.

Airport Service

Members landing on a float plane from Vancouver or in Victoria airport, DDM will facilitate your driving needs both to and from any airport on Vancouver Island, even private air strips and Heli-pads. The DDM fleet will, in most circumstances have your boat in tow, starting your vacation almost as soon as you touch down. Just show up and cast lines.

Now they can with heavily discounted labor for new and existing members who take advantage of our “restore the classics” program. The owner of Dry Dock Marine has a passion for restoring gel-coat on older boats. Unique lines, high freeboard, and ample cockpit space represent a blank canvas for Dry Dock Marine.

Let us build your dream fishing boat, weekend cruiser, or surfboat for a fraction of the cost of buying new. Non-members stay on after your build, become a member and enjoy those extra discounts on labor rates for as long as you remain a member.

Stereo Installations

At Dry Dock Marine we love our music. A day on the boat without music is a boat unfit for the water. We install marine stereo systems that will ripple the water beside the boat. Or maybe your stereo just needs and update. All our installs are done with ignition protected marine specific components. Right down to the wiring and connectors used to hook it all up. Our installer will make sure that every connection is as sealed from the harsh environments of marine applications.

Dry Dock Marine wants to do the most it possibly can to ensure your boat is as safe for the water as possible. A 12V stereo system wired improperly can be an ignition source to spark a flame in a worst-case scenario. We have a wide variety of stereo equipment available for order. Bring your boat down and get a free quote on any type of stereo system install.

Cover Service

When members use their boat, it will get wet, it’s a boat. At DDM all indoor storage is paired with cover service. Boats are left uncovered in dry storage until they are deemed totally dry. Then and only then will the covers be completely installed. This will help to negate any mold or mildew that could possibly form whilst in storage. It is also one of the little extras that just provides the right kind of convenience for our busy members.
