Meet Luc, Founder & President

Luc’s passion for boats began long ago. Specifically, it started on the shores of Osoyoos Lake during the summer of 1985. There, he first laid eyes on a banana-yellow Hondo flat-bottom jet boat. This impressive vessel featured a massive big block engine. Consequently, his parents found him five doors down, completely captivated by the yellow boat. Over that week, Luc enjoyed many thrilling rides in and behind the jet boat. Ultimately, this unforgettable experience ignited a lifelong love for the water.

A Diverse Professional Background

Over the past 20 years, Luc has built an incredibly diverse resume. First, he gained valuable hands-on experience driving trucks. Later, he worked demanding shifts on oil rigs. Furthermore, he developed precise mechanical skills working as a bodyman at a collision shop. Eventually, his path led him back to the water. He spent over 10 years working dedicatedly at Shuswap Marina. Here, his true passion for boats solidified into a lasting career.

Building Dry Dock Marine Group

Today, Luc brings an immense wealth of knowledge to Dry Dock Marine Group. His marine expertise covers a remarkably wide range. For example, he effortlessly handles stereo installations. Additionally, he manages complex bow thruster installations with confidence. He performs meticulous gelcoat restorations and even rescues sunken boats. Overall, his general marine experience is vast and comprehensive.

A Legacy for the Future

Most importantly, family drives Luc’s deep dedication to this business. He built Dry Dock Marine Group alongside his supportive wife. Together, they are creating a lasting legacy for there son. Running this business allows Luc to teach his son real-world life lessons about hard work and dedication. furthermore, he has the freedom to be present for his sons achievements. Beyond his own family, Luc firmly believes in giving back. For example, the company proudly supports The Lake Cowichan Kraken. Additionally, Luc supports his Dry Dock Family and all his employees he surrounds himself with not only as a boss but as a friend. Ultimately Luc works relentlessly to build a solid foundation for his friends, family, and community.
